PURPOSE: To ensure the satisfactory effect of reduction for vibrations of a vehicle body in a low speed revolution state especially in an idle state of an engine and also to secure the satisfactory effect of reduction for noises produced inside the vehicle with an active vibration noise controller for vehicle even if the vibration characteristic is varied by the degradation with lapse of time in regard of the body of the vehicle, the engine, or an engine mount system.
CONSTITUTION: In an idle state of an engine 2, the phase and the amplitude of the drive signal applied to an exciting machine 5 are controlled by means of an adaptive filter 404 provided to a control unit 4. So that the remaining vibrations of a vehicle body 1 are minimized. Meanwhile the phase and the amplitude of the drive signal applied to a speaker 7 are controlled by means of the filter 404 in a vehicle driving state. So that the remaining noises are minimized in the vehicle.
