Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit decrease in generation damping force, after long braking.
SOLUTION: The actuator 1 composes the ON/OFF switching device of an eddy current type deceleration device. A coil spring 2 having a smaller biasing force than required maximum needed force at the projection end point of a piston rod 1b of the actuator 1, immediately after braking, is on is included at the tip section of the piston rod 1b of a cylinder 1a in the actuator 1. Movement from the damping off position to the projection operation end point of the piston rod 1b of the actuator 1 is made with the actuator 1, and the remaining movement are made by extension from the compressed state of the coil spring 2 up to the free length, thus inhibiting decrease in generated braking force after long braking, without increasing the initial damping force more than necessary.
