Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for fitting a polishing disc which, at lower cost, can make use of the polishing disc capable of ensuring an area of a polished surface to the maximum, a polishing kit, a polishing device, a polishing method, and an article polished by the polishing method.SOLUTION: An adapter 10 for fitting a polishing disc to a shaft of a polishing device comprises a receiving hole fitted into the shaft, and a disc receiving part 12 which is located on the opposite side of the receiving hole and engaged with a fastening part of the polishing disc. If a pad independent from the adapter 10 for planarly supporting the polishing disc is used, a flange 13 around the disc receiving part 12 for supporting an area near a through hole of the pad is also provided in the adapter 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
