Title:
ADAPTIVE EQUALIZER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3391373
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain improvements in equalizing ability by suppressing estimation characteristics from deterioration due to an impulse response waveform, when using a delayed decision feedback sequence estimator.
SOLUTION: Impulse response of a transmission line is detected by an impulse response detector 3. An area designator 4 designates a sequence estimate area and an adaptive control area from the impulse response. While using the result estimated by a delayed decision feedback sequence estimator 1 and using the impulse response in the area for sequence estimation and the impulse response in the area for adaptive control, a replica generator 22 generates a replica signal, and while using an error signal between a delayed reception signal and the replica signal and the estimated result, an impulse response update equipment 21 performs adaptive control. By using the impulse response, to which the optimum area is set respectively concerning the sequence estimation and adaptive control, the estimation characteristics of the adaptive equalizer are improved.
