Abstract:

PURPOSE: To take out satisfactory equivalent output by updating a tap coefficient by a specific signal when the code of an output signal is different from that before or after change.
CONSTITUTION: An error selection signal S is activated before and after the code of the output signal is changed. and the output E1 of an error arithmetic circuit 8 is selected as an error signal E3 sent to a correlator 12. Thereby, the coefficient of a transversal filter 2 is controlled so that the signal amplitude of the output signal before and after the code is changed can approach constant amplitude decided by the output signal D of a decision circuit 7. When the code of the output signal remains unchanged, the signal S is inactivated, and a false error signal E2 is selected as the signal E3 by a switch 11-1. The signal E2 is provided with the same code as that of the output signal, and the coefficient of the filter 2 is controlled in a direction to increase the amplitude of the output signal. In such a way, it is possible to quickly attenuate an unrequired frequency component in the output signal and to obtain the satisfactory equivalent output by switching the error signal.
