Abstract:
To provide a method and apparatus for adaptively inversely spreading a direct/sequence spread spectrum signal.
A direct/sequence spread spectrum signal is given to a transversal filter 101. An output of the filter 101 is inversely spread by an inverse spreader 120 in order to provide a soft symbol determined by a symbol predictor 122. The soft symbol is provided to a determination circuit 124 which in turn generates a hard symbol corresponding to a correction of an error in data of the soft symbol. The value of the hard symbol is subtracted from the soft symbol by a subtractor 126 to generate an error symbol. The error symbol is then used to compute a tap value of the transversal filter according to an LMS algorithm of a tap adaptor 103.
