Title:
ADAPTIVE RECEIVER AND ITS RECEPTION CONTROL METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3368880
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive receiver having a DFE configuration employing an AMF that can prevent deterioration in its characteristic with respect to a minimum phase shift fading.
SOLUTION: The adaptive receiver is provided with an AMF 10 having a transversal filter configuration that receives a reception signal S and maximizes its S/N, a 1st DFE 20 that eliminates inter-code interference placed at a post-stage of the AMF 10, and a 2nd DFE 30 having the same configuration as that of the 1st DFE that is placed in parallel with the AMF and receives the same signal as that of the AMF. A tap coefficient controller 40 discriminates whether or not a minimum phase shift fading takes place on the basis of each tap coefficient outputted from each complex correlation unit of the DFE 20, controls correlated data fed back to each complex correlation unit of the AMF on the basis of an output signal D of the DFE 20 and indirectly controls the tap coefficient outputted from the complex correlation units so as to nullify other tap coefficients than that of a center tap of the AMF thereby avoiding matching filtering.
