Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an adaptive receiver detecting a fluctuation speed of a characteristic of a transmission line to set an optimum equalizer so that a tracking speed is optimum when the fluctuation is fast and tracking accuracy is optimum when the fluctuation is slow in digital mobile communication.
CONSTITUTION: A noise level detection circuit 104 detects a noise level. A transmission line fluctuation detection circuit 105 detects a fluctuation from a transmission line response estimate value given by an adaptive equalizer 102. A transmission line fluctuation detector 107 detects the fluctuation speed based on the noise level and the fluctuation quantity and a coefficient control circuit 108 sets properly a coefficient decisive to the tracking characteristic of the adaptive equalizer 102 based on the fluctuation speed.
