Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adaptive step size control adaptive filter and an adaptive scale coefficient control method for improving a residual mean square error when identifying the unknown system response of a non-ordinary change with time in the adaptive step size control adaptive filter using a stochastic gradient sign algorithm.
SOLUTION: In the adaptive filter having a non-cyclic filter and using the stochastic gradient sign algorithm, adaptive step size control is performed while defining a value provided by multiplying a scale coefficient to the absolute value of a signal updated by a leak accumulator for receiving the product of the polarity of the sum signal of an error signal and an additive noise and a signal delaying the sum signal for the time of one unit as a step size. In such a case, the scale coefficient is adaptively controlled as well by using a gradient related to the scale coefficient of the error signal.
