Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an effective additive composition for iron-making and steelmaking having no adverse effect on the characteristic of a steel, etc., by regulating nitrogen content to a prescribed value, composing additive composition of burnt aluminum dross and incorporating metallic aluminum.
CONSTITUTION: This additive composition for iron-making and steelmaking composed of burnt aluminum dross contains, by weight, desirably ≥5% metallic aluminum and <2.5% nitrogen. The additive composition is obtd. by burning the aluminum dross under adding the aluminum while adjusting the atmosphere in the furnace within a specific temp. range.
