Abstract:
To provide an additive for oils imparting an antifrictional characteristic or an abrasion-resistant characteristic.
This additive for oils contains a nitrogen-containing compound expressed by general formula (I) or a salt thereof, where R1 represents a hydrocarbon group which may contain one kind or more selected from a group comprising oxygen atom, sulfur atom and nitrogen atom, excepting a benzyl group, and R2, R3 and R4 are same or different each other, and represent a hydrocarbon group which may contain one kind or more selected from a group comprising an oxygen atom, sulfur atom and nitrogen atom, or hydrogen atom, R2, R3 may form a ring with the adjacent nitrogen atom, and X represents a sulfur atom or oxygen atom.
