PURPOSE: To make it possible to attain address conversion without considering conflict among several tasks by executing target programs consisting of several segments independently and simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of the start of a common program, control program OS operates. Control program OS is stored in a fixed region of main memory 5. After the number of any address conversion table is stored in table number register 2 by OS, instructions in OS are read out from main memory 5 and executed. At this time, the operand address is set to logical address register 3 and inputted to address converter 1. The number of register 2 is also inputted to converter 1, which outputs data on the corresponding physical address from conversion table 1A. This is set to physical address register 4. on the basis of this physical address, instructions in OS are read out sequentially from main memory 5, thereby performing the process of OS.
