PURPOSE: To facilitate the control of the consumption of an adhesive and to improve operability.

CONSTITUTION: This adhesive coater is provided with a forced-feed pump 12 with the suction port arranged in a tank 11 contg. an adhesive 9 of specified viscosity, a coating nozzle 20 connected to the deliverly port of the pump 12 and moved in the adhesive applying direction, and the backsicle of the nozzle 20 is opened. The adhesive 9 is applied on the joining face 6 of a panel 5 in the form of a buldged strip. After the adhesive is applied, the joining face 6 of the panel 5 is abutted on the joining face 6 of another panel 5 and depressed to uniformly spread the adhesive 9 over the entire joining faces 6. Consequently, the adhesive 9 is uniformly and rapidly applied.
