Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a compression/pressure adhesion clamping tool provided with a light clamp head having high Young's modulus and fatigue resistance.

CONSTITUTION: The compression/pressure adhesion clamping tool comprises a clamp head 22, a cylinder member fixed to an end of the clamp head 22, a ram member disposed movably in the cylinder member, one dies 31, fixed to the clamp head 22, and the other dies 312 disposed oppositely to one dies 311 and retractively by means of the ram member. At least the clamp head 22 among the clamp head 22, the cylinder member and the ram member is made of a composite material wherein reinforcing member 23, i.e., ceramic whiskers, is dispersed into a matrix metal 24 of aluminum alloy.
