Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the adhesion strength remarkably, by bonding a pair of adherens with a saturated polyester film preliminarily coated with an epoxy resin primer.

CONSTITUTION: The surface of a saturated polyester film, e.g. polyethylene terephthalate film, etc., is coated with a primer comprising a solution, etc. of an epoxy resin of e.g. bisphenol-A type, etc. The treated film is placed between adherends and bonded by a hot-press, etc. The adherend is, e.g. metals such as aluminum, steel, lead, copper, etc., inorganic materials such as glass pottery, etc., plastics such as polyethylene terephthalate, etc., wood, thermosetting resins, etc.
