PURPOSE: To provide the adhesive applying device which can continuously treat many kinds of applying objects varying in thicknesses with one unit of the device without generating unequal application and the deformation of the applying objects in spite of presence of fluctuations in the thicknesses of the applying objects.

CONSTITUTION: An elastic material 3 consisting of silicone rubber, etc., is clad on the outer peripheral surface of a receiving roller 2 to absorb the fluctuations in the thicknesses of the applying objects. A stationary frame 7 for supporting a receiving roller 2 and a movable frame 9 for supporting a transfer roller 1 are freely turnably connected by means of a supporting shaft 9a. The movable frame 9 is driven by a cylinder 15, by which the spacing between the rollers 1 and 2 can be changed. Further, the spacing between the rollers 1 and 2 can easily be changed by a positioning mechanism 20 which determines the stop position of the movable frame 9.
