Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an aqueous adhesive compsn. for rubber and a fiber imparting sufficient abrasion resistance to the fiber and markedly improving the abrasion resistance of a composite of nitrile group-containing highly saturated copolymer rubber and the fiber.
CONSTITUTION: An adhesive compsn. of rubber and a fiber is obtained by compounding a resorcine/formaldehyde resin and a compd. of the group II metal of the Periodic Table with latex of carboxyl group-containing highly saturated nitrile rubber. A composite consists of nitrile group-containing highly saturated copolymer rubber and the fiber treated with the adhesive compsn.
