Abstract:
To suppress progress of a crack occurring on an adhesion layer without affecting in-plane characteristics of an adhesion member.SOLUTION: A composite material 100 comprises: a first composite member 10A; a second composite member 10B; an adhesive layer 20 containing an adhesive for adhering the first composite member 10A and the second composite member 10B; and a crack progress suppressing member 30 that is arranged in the adhesive layer 20 and suppresses the progress of a crack C in a first in-plane direction X in the adhesive layer 20. The crack progress suppressing member 30 has a progress suppression part 32 having a convex shape in the first in-plane direction X from the first composite member 10A side to the second composite member 10B side. The adhesive strength of the interface with the adhesive layer 20, that is, a surface 33 is weaker than that of the interface between the adhesive layer 20 and the first composite member 10A and second composite member 10B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
