PURPOSE: To provide a decorative adhesive sheet having high weathering resistance and excellent metallic feeling. prepd. by forming a transparent resin layer on the top surface of a resin film having a metallic appearance and then forming an adhesive layer on the back surface, which may be covered with a release sheet when necessary.

CONSTITUTION: A resin film 2 having a metallic appearance is formed on the surface of a carrier consisting of polyethylene terephthalate resin film, etc. surface-coated with a releasing primer such as wax-based primer, by applying a compsn. prepd., e.g., by dispersing aluminum flakes in a resin soln. in an amt. of 2W20% of the resin. A transparent resin layer 1 is formed on it by fusion bonding and the carrier is peeled off. Then an adhesive layer 3 is formed on the back surface of the metallic resin film 2 and, when necessary, a release sheet 4 is laminated on it. The resultant adhesive sheet has high weathering resistance and excellent metallic feeling and is suitable for decorative uses.
