To prepare the subject tape, good in fitness without any sense of incompatibility and adhesion, etc., during the rolling and use and suitably usable for a first aid adhesive plaster by using a substrate oriented even in the width direction while retaining the flexibility of the substrate.
This adhesive tape is prepared by coating either one surface of a substrate with an adhesive and has ≤24N/19mm (23°C) tensile stress (x) at 50% elongation in the machine direction (MD) and that (y) in the transverse direction(TD) and the ratio a thereof (α=y/x) within the range of 1.10-2.00. The adhesive tape can be punched into a nearly rectangular shape by making the long side thereof coincide with the TD of the substrate and the short side thereof coincide with the MD of the substrate to prepare the first aid adhesive plaster. Thereby, the resultant first aid adhesive plaster is good in various characteristics.
