PURPOSE: To improve water resistance and tearability and to reduce weight and cost, by using specified materials for warps and wefts constituting the base of an adhesive tape and providing a synthetic resin laminate layer on at least one side of the base.
CONSTITUTION: This adhesive tape is provided with an adhesive layer on at least one side of a base woven of warps and wefts. In the base, the warp is formed from a polyolefin multifilament (a) and the weft is formed from a high- melting multifilament contg. a monofilament (b) having an m.p. higher by at least 10°C than that of said polyolefin multifilament. A synthetic resin laminate layer is provided on at least one side of the base. A preferred example of the component (a) is a polypropylene multifilament. Preferred examples of the component (b) are polyester, polyamide and acrylic monofilaments.
