Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stabilize a DC voltage level through the voltage/current converting function of a mixer system, composed of a cascade connection of transadmittance and mixing stage while using a differential amplifier at the mixing stage. CONSTITUTION: When control voltage input sides ER1 and ER2 of a wideband amplifier are excited, currents increase on output sides A21 and A31 of differential amplifiers D2 and D3 but decrease on output sides A22 and A32. Then, since the output sides A22 and A32 are connected, the sum current of a reference voltage electrode B4 at a differential amplifier D4 depends on only the control voltage and does not depend on any input signal. Then, the operating currents of the differential amplifiers D2 and D3 are modulated with reverse phases by input signals at input terminals E1 and E2. Then, the currents on the output sides A21-A31 are smaller than the operating currents. Further, a partial current returned through a differential amplifier D4 is not modulated by the input signal and affects only the DC components of output currents JA1 and JA2. Therefore, an AC-voltage component on the output side is changed by the change of the control voltage, but its DC-voltage component is fixed.
