Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crystalline zeolite X adsorbent, a method for producing it and a method for separating air by using the crystalline zeolite X adsorbent.
SOLUTION: In the crystalline zeolite X adsorbent, crystalline zeolite X has ≤3.0 molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3. A lithium cation gathering in an AlO2 tetrahedron unit is ≥80% of total cations to less than 88%. An alkaline earth metallic cation is ≥0.5% to less than 5%. In a method for producing the crystalline zeolite X adsorbent, ≥90% cation gathering in the AlO2 tetrahedron unit of crystalline zeolite X having ≤3.0 molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 is ion-exchanged for the lithium cation and thereafter it is again ion-changed for the aqueous solution of mixed salt containing alkali metallic salt and alkaline earth metallic salt. The lithium cation gathering in the AlO2 tetrahedron unit is made to ≥80% and less than 88% and thereafter washing, drying and activation are performed. Further, nitrogen contained in air is selectively adsorbed to the adsorbent by pressure rocking adsorption and oxygen is separated and recovered.
