Abstract:

PURPOSE: To adsorb and remove the impurities of food, by preparing an adsorbent containing synthetic laminar magnesium phillosilicate having not only a specific chemical composition and a specific X-ray diffraction peak but also a specific value such as a specific laminating irregular index.

CONSTITUTION: An adsorbent for purifying good containing synthetic laminar magnesium phillosilicate, which has a composition represented by formula I (wherein n is an integer of 5 or less), X-ray diffraction peaks at spacings of 4.5W4.6, 2.5W2.6 and 1.5W1.6, a laminating irregular index defined by formula II (wherein θ1 is the angle formed by the peak perpendicular at an X-ray diffraction peak of spacing of 4.5W4.6 and a wide angle side peak tangential line and θ2 is the angle of the peak perpendicular at the peak and a wide angle side peak tangential line) of 30 or more, a BET specific surface area of 300m2/g or more and methylene blue decoloring force of 100ml/g or more, is prepared.
