PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving the energy efficiency and responsibility of an adsorbing-desorbing device.SOLUTION: Provided is an absorbing-desorbing device (10) comprising: an adsorbent (14) having hysteresis between the adsorption characteristics upon adsorption of an adsorbate having polarity and the desorption characteristics upon desorption of the adsorbate; application parts (18, 20) applying an AC electric field or an AC electromagnetic field to the adsorbent; and a controller (22) controlling the application parts (18, 20) in such a manner that, when the adsorption state of the adsorbate to the adsorbent (14) lies in an oversaturated or unsaturated state, the application of the AC electric field or the AC electromagnetic field is started.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
