Abstract:
The adsorption filter material (1), for protective clothing, has a multi-layer structure (2) with outer covering layers (3,4). The adsorption layer (5), in a sandwich between the outer layers, is of active carbon filament fibers, bonded to the outer layers by separated thermoplastic adhesive points (6) in an irregular screen pattern. The active carbon fibers can be of carbonized and activated cellulose, and the adsorption layer is impregnated with a catalyst of an enzyme and/or metal ions.
