Abstract:
An aerosol-generating device includes a heater 45, a first switch 41 electrically connected to the heater, a second switch 42 electrically connected to the heater and the first switch in series, a processor 43 which outputs first and second control signals that control an open/closed state of the first and second switches respectively, a rectifying circuit 46, and a capacitor C1. An AC signal, e.g. a PWM signal, output by the processor is converted into a DC signal by the rectifying circuit and transmitted to the first switch to maintain it in a closed state. Capacitors C1 ( and C3) block a DC signal output by the processor due to a malfunction, so that the switches are maintained in an open state and the heater is prevented from generating heat.
