To provide a digestion gas purifying agent with which a digestion gas can be purified by efficiently removing siloxane compound contained in the digestion gas at a low cost while making effective use of various kinds of the sludge produced from a sewage treatment plant and to provide a method and an apparatus for purifying the digestion gas.

This agent for purifying the digestion gas by removing the siloxane compound from the the sewage sludge digestion gas containing the siloxane compound contains a porous activated carbon obtained by carbonizing and activating at least a portion of the sewage sludge discharged from various sewage treatment processes.
