Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject suppressing agent free from side action, exhibiting anti-AIDS virus action and having excellent safety by using an extract of the mycelium of Fuscoporia obliqua as an active component.
CONSTITUTION: Mycelium of Fuscoporia obliqua is collected from the fungus naturally grown on a natural living birch-tree or from an artificially inoculated and grown sclerotium. The mycelium is extracted e.g. with hot water and the extract is used as an active component of the objective suppressing agent. The mycelium can be produced by adding water to wood chips, lime, rice bran, wheat bran, etc., inoculating pure mycelium to the obtained medium, keeping the medium under optimum temperature and humidity conditions and culturing for several months under aerobic condition.
