Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a polymer-containing compsn. having antiemulsion/antifoam characteristics in a lubricating oil.
CONSTITUTION: A crank chamber lubricating compsn. contains an effective amt. of a butylene oxide-containing polymer as an antiemulsion agent. The above polymer prevents or minimizes the formation of foam and that of an emulsion under IID engine test and field test conditions having a tendency to form an emulsion.
