PURPOSE: To provide an agitator for a granulating apparatus by means of which a stable granulated material can be obtd. regardless of the shape and the water content of a raw material.

CONSTITUTION: An agitator 6 is provided in the neighborhood of the inner face of the bottom wall of a vessel 2. Three pieces of acting blades 6b provided in a horizontal radial shape are provided on the agitator 6. Three pieces of the acting blades 6 are the same in their shapes and sizes and are fixed at the equal distance each other on a blade fixing member 6c. Each acting blade 6b is a plate-like member with a rectangular flat face and an approximately L-shaped cross-section and it is rotated counterclockwisely. Each acting blade 6b is provided in such a way that the longer shaft has an angle of 10-30° in the rotationally reverse direction from a straight line connecting the rotational center of the rotating shaft 6a with the center of the base end part of the blade 6b.
