PURPOSE: To enable the revolutionary motion of an impeller with agitation resistance and to simplify the structure of an agitator by fitting a transverse supporting arm which receives torque caused around a driving shaft by means of agitation resistance exerted to the rotating impeller so that the transverse supporting arm can not be moved to the axial direction of the driving shaft and fitting an agitating shaft fitted with the impeller to this arm so that it can not be moved to the axial direction.
CONSTITUTION: The rotation of a driving shaft 2 is transferred to the agitating shafts 4, 5 via the gears 6, 7, 8 and the agitating shafts 9 are subjected to rotational motion and a mixture to be agitated which is introduced into an agitation tank 1 is agitated with the impeller 10 fitted to the lower end thereof. In this case, since agitation resistance due to the mixture to be agitated acts on the impellers 10, torque caused around the driving shaft 2 is generated in a supporting arm 3 by means of this agitation resistance. As a result, the agitation shafts 9 are subjected to revolutionary motion around the driving shaft 2. The mixture to be agitated is uniformly agitated in a range over all regions of the agitation tank 1 with the impellers 10 of the agitating shafts 9 which are subjected to revolutionary motion while performing rotational motion in such a way.
