PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag for a head part protection air bag device capable of minimizing the interference with a head rest even when a clearance between a pillar part and a seat is narrow.
SOLUTION: This air bag 11 for the head part protection air bag device comprises a gas supply passage part 14 formed along the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, and an inflating shielding part 15 covering a car interior side of the pillar part and a window when being developed and inflated, on its upper edge side, and the inflation shielding part 15 is provided with a pillar part side inflating part 16D covering the car interior side of the pillar part, and window side inflating parts 16A, 16B, 16C, 16E covering the car interior side of the window. A front adjacent part 16C and a back adjacent part 16E adjacent to the pillar part side inflating part 16D at its front and back, form an opening of an inflow port 18 at a gas supply passage part 14 side, and the pillar part side inflating part 16D is substantially closed by a non-inflow part 25C at its gas supply passage part 14 side, and form openings of inflow ports 19, 19 communicating the front adjacent part 16C with the back adjacent part 16E at its downstream side.
