Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag module having a special shape capable of protecting not a part but a whole body and applicable to a shape such as a rotary wing aircraft difficult to be protected.SOLUTION: This air bag module comprises: at least two or more main air bags comprising an outer cover that has a space provided therein by joining two base fabrics which are made of strong materials low in flexibility and become flat in shape during non-expansion at an outer peripheral end, and a highly flexible air tube which is stored in the outer cover and expanded in the outer cover during expansion to extend the outer cover into a prescribed shape during maximum expansion; and at least one or more spacer air bag arranged between the main air bags and comprising an outer cover that has a space provided therein by joining two base fabrics which are made of strong materials low in flexibility and become flat in shape during non-expansion at an outer peripheral end, and a highly flexible air tube which is stored in the outer cover and expanded in the outer cover during expansion to extend the outer cover into a prescribed shape during maximum expansion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
