Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an air bag expand gently after the peripheral portion of the air bag leaves from a module cover.
SOLUTION: In this air bag 10A, a front panel 11 and rear panel 12 are stitched together at a peripheral portion 15 thereof. A part of the peripheral portion of the air bag 10A, i.e., a quarter part of a whole periphery of the peripheral portion 15, is internally folded. Similarly, at the other three portions, the front panel 11 and the rear panel 12 are folded. Regarding the internally folded portions of the rear panel 12, the overlapped rear panels 12 are stitched together with a thread.
