Title:
AIR BLEEDING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3947112
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bleeding system utilizing the tangential velocity component of the air flowing out from a rear edge of an upstream blade.
SOLUTION: This air bleeding system used in a gas turbine engine, comprises a plurality of vanes (blades) 10, and each vane 10 has an air foil member 14 and a platform structural body 16. This air bleeding system has a passage between blades, formed by the adjacent air foil member 14 and an end wall formed by the platform structural body 16. A bleeding hole 30 is formed in the passage between blades, and the fluid partially bleeds therefrom. The positioning of a bleeding part in the axial direction and the circumferential direction in a channel of a stator is determined to obtain the optimum balance of the static pressure and the tangential velocity.
