Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make proper control of the braking pressure by introducing such an arrangement to a train that a locomotive fitted with a brake command apparatus capable of self-lap operation is coupled with a car or cars fitted with automatic brake due to a control valve incapable of stepped loosening, and therein loosening the brake of such a car incapable of stepped loosening when the brake notch is put under a certain level.

CONSTITUTION: Signal from a loco-driver seat brake command apparatus 1 is fed to a brake command calculation amplifying part 2, which issues a command to control the locomotive brake cylinder pressure in compliance with the brake notch. This command is fed to an electro-pneumatic transducer 3 (for control of locomotive BC pressure) and another electro-pneumatic transducer 4 (for control of BP pressure). These transducers 3, 4 perform supply and exhaust of the air to/from brake cylinders 6 and brake pipe 5 and controls the air pressure in compliance with the given command.
