Abstract:
To reduce the load on an air compressor in generating compressed-air to improve fuel consumption of a vehicle or electricity consumption.SOLUTION: An air brake system is mounted on a vehicle in which a braking part 110 generates braking force by use of compressed-air generated in a compressor 1. The air brake system includes: a first valve 7 which is switched between a first mode discharging, when pressure of the compressed-air connected to an exhaust port 53 of the braking part to be exhausted is a first prescribed pressure or more, the compressed-air into the downstream side and a second mode releasing, when the compressed-air is less than the first prescribed pressure, the compressed-air into the air; an air tank 8 which is arranged in the downstream side of the first valve 7 to store the compressed-air flowed out from the first valve 7; and a second valve 9 which transfers higher pressured air among the compressed-air from the air tank 8 and ambient air into the compressor 1. The air tank 8 has an open part 83 which releases the compressed-air in the air tank 8 into air when inner pressure becomes a second prescribed pressure or more, the second prescribed pressure being lower than the first prescribed pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
