To provide a compact and low-input air cleaner reducing a load of a gas processing function part in removing hazardous substances such as ozone and malodor generated by discharge in the air cleaner passing and emitting cleaning object gas which passes through a discharge electrode part comprising a discharge electrode and a plate-shaped counter electrode, through the gas processing function part for removing the hazardous substances.
This air cleaner is so constituted as to carry metal oxide based ozonolysis catalyst on the surfaces of the discharge electrode and the counter electrode. This constitution can highly efficiently decompose and deodorize parts of the hazardous substances such as the ozone and the malodor generated by the discharge in the discharge electrode and the counter electrode.
