In the air cleaning apparatus 20, the discharge electrodes 1, 2 have discharge parts comprising a distal end of an acute angle on a parallel plane opposed to flat plate-like counter electrodes 3, 4 and the discharge parts are arranged such that a clearance between the adjacent discharge parts is a predetermined clearance or more that interference is not generated at discharge and becomes not more than two times the predetermined clearance.
