To provide an air cleaning unit safely and easily detaching a filter in maintenance work of the filter and allowing filter replacement and cleaning work without touching an LED in the air cleaning unit for use in an air conditioner having a means applying ultraviolet light to an optical regenerative deodorizing filter.
A light guide unit 19 comprises a light guide plate retaining part 11 and a light guide plate 12, at least two or more opposite claws 20 of the light guide plate retaining part 11 are fitted in and integrally fixed to a groove 21 of the light guide plate 12, so that a filter unit 7 having the light guide plate is constituted separable from the LED 4 provided in the retaining unit 1. The filter unit 7 itself is easily detached in a state without having an electronic component, thus providing the air cleaning unit 18 allowing the filter replacement and cleaning work without touching the LED 4.
