To notify a user of the temperature setting and using condition of an air conditioner in an easily understandable way.
A remote controller 13 is equipped with: a signal receiving part 2; a buzzer sound generating part 5; an indoor unit 1 of the air conditioner equipped with a controller 7 for controlling the indoor temperature by indoor temperature information from the receiving part and the buzzer sound generating part 5, or an indoor temperature sensor 9; a display panel 11 for displaying an operation part 8 for performing temperature setting and air amount setting, and the present temperature setting condition and the air amount setting condition; and a signal transmitting part for transmitting various setting condition data set in the operation part 8 to the indoor unit 1 of the air conditioner. When the indoor set temperature set by the remote controller 13 is transmitted to the indoor unit 1 of the air conditioner which is not an energy saving temperature, for example, 20°C or below in cooling and 26°C or above in heating, the signal receiving sound generated from the buzzer sound generating part 5 on receiving the signal is made to be a different signal receiving sound than a normal signal receiving sound or a signal receiving sound of a different sound length than the normal signal receiving sound, so that the user can easily judge that the temperature is set to a non-energy saving temperature.
