To provide an air current and comfortableness to the liking of a person in a room by improving the position repeatability of an air direction changing blade to freely control the direction and speed of an air current from a blowoff port of an air conditioner.
The air conditioner has the air direction changing blade 4 controlling the vertical direction of air blown off from the blowoff port 2, and an arm part 3 supporting the air direction changing blade 4 turnably and capable of variably projecting from the blowoff port 2. The reference setting of the variation amount of the arm part 3 and the turning amount of the air direction changing blade 4 is performed in a state of stopping the arm part 3 in a predetermined position by controlling the arm part driving means 5.
