Abstract:
To reduce the cost of an air conditioner by employing the same power semiconductor element to air conditioners with different capacities while miniaturizing the power semiconductor.
This air conditioner 1 comprises the power semiconductor 32, a refrigerant pipe 23 for cooling the power semiconductor 32 by a refrigerant through an aluminum jacket 30, and a refrigerant circuit 2 for making the refrigerant flow in the refrigerant pipe 23. The refrigerant with intermediate pressure flows in the refrigerant pipe 23 connected to the aluminum jacket 30. The power semiconductor element 32 is so formed that the difference between a joint part temperature Tj and a case temperature Tc is higher than approximately 30 and lower than approximately 80.
