To provide an air conditioner capable of controlling the releasing direction of fine water droplets released from an electrostatic atomizer to an indoor space.
This air conditioner includes a housing having an air intake opening and an air supply opening, a heat exchanger disposed in the housing, an air distribution fan for distributing the indoor air exchanging heat with the heat exchanger from the air supply opening, a horizontal wind direction plate positioned in a supply air trunk connecting to the air supply opening from the air distribution fan and composed of a plurality of blades for controlling a horizontal wind direction of the air current distributed indoors, and the electrostatic atomizer releasing fine water droplet into the indoor space. The electrostatic atomizer includes a Peltier element for condensing moisture in the air, an atomization electrode to which the condensed moisture is supplied, and a voltage applying device for applying voltage to the atomization electrode and releasing fine water droplet from a distal end section of the atomization electrode, and the atomization electrode is disposed between the blades at both ends constituting the horizontal wind direction plate at the downstream in the air current direction, of the horizontal wind direction plate.
