To effectively increase the temperature of air in the inlet of a turbine without causing the lowering of a force for driving a compressor by a turbine, and the deterioration of a cooling capacity.
The air conditioner includes: an air cycle machine ACM which combines the turbine 3 driven by the internal adiabatic expansion of engine bleed air and the compressor 4 which operates together with the turbine for compressing the engine bleed air to be discharged to the turbine; a bootstrap circuit 6 which connects the outlet of the compressor and the inlet of the turbine; a water separator 11 which is provided in an air-supply line for connecting a pre-compression chamber 2 and an inlet 3b of the turbine; heat exchangers 8, 9 which are disposed in the bootstrap circuit, and cool the heated air compressed by the compressor; and a ram-air passage 10 which supplies outside air to the secondary heat exchanger 9. In the air conditioner, a tertiary heat exchanger 16 is further provided which suppresses the excessive cooling of the air flowing through the bootstrap circuit 6 by outside hot air.
