Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an air conditioner where water leakage caused by water drops (drain water) falling down from a humidifier is prevented.
CONSTITUTION: An air suction port 13 is formed at line upper part of a main body 3 of an air conditioner and an air outlet 17 at the lower part. A fan 5 and a heat exchanger 9 are arranged in the main body 3 in the order described above. A humidifier 11 is installed under the heat exchanger 9 and a drain pan 26 is provided on a bottom 3f of the main body 3 to receive drain water dropping down from the humidifier 11. Therefore, when water (drain water) falls down from the humidifier 11 due to deposition of dust or other causes, the water is received by the humidifier drain pan 26 arranged on the bottom 3f of the main body 3, that prevents the water from leaking out from the main body 3. In addition, as the humidifier 11 and the drain pan 26 are independent from the main body 3 and they can be additionally mounted, the humidifier 11 can be attached as an option when necessary.
