PURPOSE: To prevent an exterior panel from losing its service function even if its weight is increased by extending the exterior panel or attaching building materials on it, by employing such a construction that the exterior panel in front of an air conditioner opens like a door.
CONSTITUTION: Having such a construction that a decoration cover 6 opens like a door, the decoration cover 6 is not required to be removed from an air conditioner when the air conditioner is in service, so that workability is improved and the service function is not spoiled even if the weight of the decoration cover 6 is increased by building materials. Electric wiring can be safely arranged in the decoration cover 6 by arranging electric wiring around pins of the door-like construction. As lighting apparatus, shelves, etc., are also attachable on it, a loss of effective available wall area due to installation of the air conditioner can be prevented, and a sense of incompatibility caused by installing the air conditioner can be minimized. Moreover, the heating effect in front of the air conditioner is improved by attaching a heat-radiation panel on the decoration cover.
