PURPOSE: To simplify the structure of a piping and to reduce the cost by a method wherein a plurality of solenoid valves are incorporated in a lump-form member, and a refrigerant passage near and leading to the solenoid valve and a connection port are formed in the lump-form member and used as a piping unit.
CONSTITUTION: An outdoor unit A comprising a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2, and an outdoor heat-exchanger 3 and a plurality of indoor units B1-B3 comprising indoor heat-exchangers 9a-9c and expansion valves 6, 7, and 8a-8b are provided. A plurality of solenoid valves 31 and 51 controlling the flow of a refrigerant between the outdoor unit A and a plurality of indoor units B1-B3 and incorporated in a lump-form member are provided. A refrigerant passage around the solenoid is formed in the lump-form member and a connection port 35 which interconnects refrigerant devices in the outdoor unit A and the indoor units B1-B3 and is used as a piping unit 21 is formed. This constitution sharply reduces the number of soldered places and simplifies the structure of a cooling piping, resulting in facilitation of assembly and improvement of workability.
