Title:
AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1151514
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the flow noise of a refrigerant and the consumption of electric power and secure the necessary amount of dehumidification in performing dehumidifying operation while preventing the decrease of a room temperature by a refrigerating cycle. SOLUTION: A utilization side heat exchanger is divided into two, and a dehumidification restriction unit is used between them at the time of dehumidifying operation. In this unit, a refrigerant restriction passage 28 is formed by a cut groove 19 provided in a valve seat 20 and a valve stem 15 in the case where the valve stem 15 is brought into contact with the valve seat 20 to close a valve port 21, and valve chests 23, 24 communicate with each other by this refrigerant restriction passage 28. Even in the case where the refrigerant restriction passage 28 is blocked with dirt, etc., such dirt, etc., are removed by moving the valve stem 15 upward and, accordingly, the refrigerant restriction passage 28 can be made narrower. An evaporation temperature can be lowered by increasing the restriction extent of a refrigerant, and the necessary amount of the circulating refrigerant may be decreased while securing the necessary amount of dehumidification. Therefore, kinetic energy of a refrigerant flow can be reduced, and the flow noise of the refrigerant can also be reduced. Further, since the small amount of the circulating refrigerant is sufficient enough, the number of rotations of a compressor can be reduced, and the consumption of electric power can also be reduced.
